Does MEARS connect charge per party or per person?

    Hi again, Tracy!

Welcome back to planDisney! I love seeing familiar faces around here, and I truly appreciate you trusting us to help plan your magical vacation.

Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel brings so many wonderful benefits—proximity to the parks, immersive theming, complimentary transportation across the resort, and that extra magic you can only find when you’re surrounding yourself in everything Disney. There’s just something special about walking out of your room and knowing your Disney day is just steps or a Monorail, boat, or bus ride away!

Tracy, if you’re like me, you might still get a little nostalgic for the days of Disney’s Magical Express, whisking you from Orlando International Airport (MCO) straight to your Disney Resort doorstep with ease and a welcome video to set the tone. While that service has since sailed off into the sunset, Mears Connect has stepped in to fill those shoes, offering a similar experience, but for a small fee.

According to the Mears Connect website, transportation pricing is per person, not per party. So you’ll want to keep that in mind as you plan for your travel group. They offer both a standard shared service and an express option with fewer stops, depending on your budget and timing needs.

That said, there are a few other ways to get from the airport to your resort that might be worth considering. Renting a car is one option, and since overnight parking at Disney Resort hotels and standard theme park parking for registered Guests is complimentary, this could be a great way to explore not just Walt Disney World, but also the surrounding Orlando area. It's especially handy if you’re planning a non-park day to enjoy the pool or the local outlets.

You can also look into ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft, which are widely available at MCO and throughout Walt Disney World. For something a little more tailored, I recommend doing a quick search online for private van or shuttle companies based in Orlando. Many of these services offer personalized attention, like having a driver meet you at baggage claim and take you directly to your Disney Resort. No waiting or multiple stops required!

Whatever option you choose, I know the destination is going to be well worth the journey. Thanks for swinging by again, Tracy! Wishing you safe travels!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
