Hi Rebecca! The Magic Kingdom will indeed be open that night until 2am which is the good news. Now for the other side of that.....it is open only to those guests who purchase an extra ticket for these special extra magic hours.
The new
Disney After Hours has designated special days in April and May for this extraordinary experience. Only about 3000 tickets will be sold giving those guests an almost private night enjoying the attractions. A couple of locations will be open for food and you will be give complimentary water and ice cream. When everyone else goes home you will just be starting your fun. The ticket prices are steep at $149 per ticket but to avoid lines it just might be worth it.
They have also added
Early Morning Magic which is a one hour early admission to the park on specified dates in April and May. This one hour will allow you to enjoy three attractions; Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Winnie the Pooh, and Peter Pan. You can ride as many times as you wish in that one hour and you will be offered breakfast selections at
Pinocchio Village Haus until 10am. Once the day guests are allowed into the park at 9am you will no longer get front of the line on those attractions. I will actually be trying this one out on the first day it is offered to see what I think if you want to check back with me. Again only a certain number of tickets will be sold for the early morning hour and it is open to all guests and not just resort guests. The price for adults is $69 and children $59.
Both tickets are pricey and not sure about using this opportunity. But it does allow non resort guests to have a bit of a breather in enjoying the attractions.
