Will the meal plans be coming back anytime soon?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Patty. Thanks for stopping by to ask us your question.

The Disney Dining Plan is wildly popular. I know my family and I have enjoyed using the program on many of our past Walt Disney World vacations. It was really nice having every aspect of our vacation paid for ahead of time. It was fun to say yes to dessert with dinner and snacks throughout the day without having to worry about a budget. I know a lot of people feel the same way.

Patty, here at planDisney, we are a group of people who are regular Guests that know the ins and outs of planning an amazing vacation to the Disney destinations. However, because we are also Guests, we aren't privy to the type of behind the scenes information like when the Disney Dining Plan might return to us. The good news is that we do know that it will eventually come back. Several months ago the Disney Parks Blog released an article letting us know they've heard the outcry of love and support for the dining plan and they do plan to bring it back - at that time they just weren't sure as to when. That's really the last update that we've had. However, since then many more Walt Disney World restaurants have reopened which is a great step in the right direction for the plan to come back.

I'm sorry I don't have more information for you right now, Patty. If you have any other questions about your upcoming trip in September, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
