Hi Diana,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are considering one of the
dining plans.
My family has used the
Disney Dining Plan and the
Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. We find both to be a good value because we love to eat (appetizers and desserts are must-haves for us) and we use our refillable mugs multiple times a day at the resort hotel. With the Disney Dining Plan, each guest 3-years old and over gets two meals per night of stay (one table-service and one quick-service meal), two snacks and a resort refillable mug. On the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, each guest 3-years old and over gets three meals and two snacks per night of stay. One key difference is that those meal entitlements on the Deluxe Plan can be used for any type of meal (table-service or quick-service).
When we use the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, we dine at table-service and signature restaurants. We rarely do quick-service meals. We consider dining to be an experience at the Walt Disney World Resort - we love to eat like royalty!
Of course, if your family simply needs to eat and does not want the added expense of the Disney or Disney Deluxe Dining plans, the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan might be a good option for you. On this plan, you will receive two quick-service meal entitlements per night of stay along with the two snacks and resort refillable mug.
Diana, I also suggest that you check a few menus of the restaurants you may want to visit. That will give you an idea of pricing so that you can compare it to the cost of the dining plans.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
