Hello! We are on the meal plan for our visit in Nov. 2015. I have a 9 year old that may want to eat an "adult" meal instead of a child's meal... will this be allowed with the meal plan or is that an additional expense?

    Hi there Maria,

I am so excited to hear you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth in under a month. I usually start doing the happy dance every day at the one-month mark so if you're anything like me, excitement has begun to set in.

Unfortunately, children 9 and under must order from the children's menus when using a Disney Dining Plan. Currently, the policy does not allow for upgrades from child to adult plans.  Honestly, the children's options are amazing, in my opinion.  We just returned home from a week at The Walt Disney World Resort and my 8-year old says she was "thoroughly impressed" with the offerings at each and every locale.  There are usually several different options for children to choose from with lots of variety.  The portions are also always very generous.

    Hope this helps,

    Amanda F.
