Do you have to have the meal plan for the character dinners?

    Hi Amanda!

Character dining is one of my family's favorite things to do during our vacations at Walt Disney World Resort! My kids love to meet their favorite Disney friends during their meal and we all love the variety of food options available. All of the dining plans, except the Quick-Service Dining Plan, will allow you to use your meal entitlements for Character dining experience. I think the Disney Dining Plan is a great option as it will provide you with a mix of quick service and table service meals. On this plan, most Character dining is one table service entitlement per person of your party. The Deluxe Dining Plan, Premium Dining Plan and Platinum Dining Plan will also give you plenty of credits so you can enjoy dining with Mickey and friends with your trip!

You can get a complete list of the restaurants where you can redeem your dining entitlements by heading to the details page for each of the dining plans, which I have linked above. There is even a Character Dining section to help you organize your reservations! Also, the page for each restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort will have dining plans link located just beneath the price ranges on the right side of the page. If you click the "Some Dining Plans Accepted" link, you will be able to see the dining plans accepted by that restaurant and the number of meal entitlements it requires.

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
