Hiya Lisa!
Welcome to planDisney! As a mom who manages her entire family's plans on the My Disney Experience app, I wonder how I will react when my kids decide to plan for themselves. Will I be able to give up my control? Will I approve of their plans or will I be proud to see my little "Minnie" planner making great
Dining Reservations and booking the perfect
Lightning Lane return time? I love that you have overcome this and are ready to share the planning responsibilities with your little one.
Good news! If she is
13 years or older, she can make her own My Disney Experience account, which is what I think she should do. Now, if you already had her on your account as a child's profile and had previously just entered her name and age know that it is not an account but essentially a "filler" until the day they can make their account. Once your daughter has made her account make her a part of your
Family & Friends list. Replace her old profile with this one. You can
delete the other filler profile. Now that both of you allow the sharing of plans with each other you can help make plans for each other or she can just make plans for herself. If she is younger than 13, she won't be able to make her account, but maybe consider trusting her with your account information. I would make sure you are with her during those planning moments in case something happens that you don't want.
However, having two people working together to make plans is genius. Now, you both can work together to grab a
Virtual Queue boarding group and purchase an Individual Lightning Lane or make your first Genie+ Lightning Lane return time! Imagine boarding
TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise while also knowing you have a return time in place for
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. What a thrilling day that would be for all of you!
I hope this helps and
let me know directly if you need any more help!
Happy Planning!
