Hello Thomas and welcome back to planDisney!
I was just recently at Walt Disney World, and I had to navigate from Orlando International Airport to
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, so I can help you get from MCO to your resort!
One option for you would be to get a shuttle. With a quick internet search, you will find a shuttle company that will utilize a bus that will take multiple families to their
Walt Disney World resorts. Since these shuttles usually make multiple stops to drop off resort guests, your wait time to get onboard and to be let off the shuttle could be a bit long at times. But one interesting thing about this type of shuttle service is that it does allow you to get a window view of some of the different resorts and maybe even gives you some ideas on where you might like to stay on your next Disney vacation!
Another option for you would be a ride share. You can download the app for either of the two major rideshare companies and make a reservation for your pick-up at the airport. Some rideshares will pick you up curbside, and some have a designated pick-up area that is well marked just outside of the luggage claim area at MCO. Curbside pick-ups are usually a bit more expensive. This mode of transportation will get you directly to your home resort and will be a bit quicker than the shuttle service.
You can also select the
Minnie Van airport service that is available for Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort hotels and Club Level rooms. You can book Minnie Van airport service beginning 60 days in advance of your visit, up until two days before your visit! I have not used the Minnie Van service from the airport, but I recently had an amazing ride from my resort to the Magic Kingdom with a wonderful cast member, and we had a great conversation about our affinity for Star Wars!
Thomas, when you do reach the magic, don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
