How can I get to and from MCO to arts of animation.. me and my 11 year old

Greetings Victoria and welcome to planDisney!

You are going to absolutely love Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! Larger families will love the Cars, Lion King and Finding Nemo family suites! They are spectacular and immerse you into the world of each beloved movie!  Sounds like you will be staying with a little smaller travelling party, and you might find yourself in a Little Mermaid standard room which will take you on an adventure under the sea!

But first Victoria, let's get you from Orlando International Airport to Art of Animation! You have a couple of options. The first is a shuttle. You can do a quick internet search, and you will find a shuttle company that will use a bus to take multiple families to their Walt Disney World resorts. The shuttle will make multiple stops at various resorts, so your wait time will be determined by the number of riders and the number of stops before they get to your resort. This mode of transportation does allow you to see some of the other resorts during the earlier drop-offs that you might not have had a chance to see before!

The second option would be a rideshare. You can download the app for either of the major rideshare companies and make a pre-arranged reservation for your airport pick-up.  They will be alerted if your plane is early or late and will adjust your pick-up time based on your flight arrival. Some rideshares will pick you up curbside, but most pick up in a designated area that is well marked with signage just outside the luggage pick-up area. Rideshares take you directly to your resort, and they will get you there a bit quicker than the shuttle if time is a big factor for you.

Victoria, my family has used both modes of transportation from MCO to our Disney resort, and we have had safe and reliable transportation with both options.

Once you do make it to your Disney home at Art of Animation, take some time to enjoy the Big Blue Pool, the largest pool at Walt Disney World Resort! When you are ready for an adventure in the parks, I love the fact that Art of Animation has a Disney Skyliner station that will whisk you off to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT in a flash!  My grandkids love the Skyliner as much as any ride in any of the theme parks, and they enjoy picking out their favorite Disney friends on the gondolas!

Victoria, have a great adventure and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
