    May visit without going to the parks, which resort should we stay? Thinking of AKL with a safari view? Any other suggestions? We'd like to spend time enjoying another side of Disney.

    I love talking about Walt Disney World Resort® accommodations. My family and I visit quite frequently without ever stepping foot into the parks. Those vacations are no less magical! Here are my suggestions for the best places to stay while on a theme park free vacation. 

    • Disney's Yacht or Beach Club Resort (Beach Club is preferred) - This resort area is hands down my favorite! Immerse yourself in the carefree feeling of a beachside retreat from days gone by. These resorts also boast the best swimming pool on property! From a thrilling side down the Flying Jib to relaxing as you float along the lazy river, you will no doubt feel like you're on vacation when your poolside at Stormalong Bay. Not to mention, being in the Epcot Resort Area means access to a plethora of dining options that you can get to by foot! Spend an evening catching all the nightly fun and entertainment along the BoardWalk area and then watch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth without stepping into Epcot®.

    • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort - My second favorite location in the "World." The dining is great, the location is right in the middle of the magic, and you can view Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the beaches of this tropical resort with a Captain's Mai-Tai in your hands. And with construction almost complete at this newly reimagined resort, it's a great time to start planning a visit!
