Going in May 2018. We want to visit San Diego overnight (so we won't be on a bus for 4 hours). Any suggestions on transportation back and forth?

Hi, Chelcie! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The whole southern California area is glorious and worth exploration so I'm glad that you are planning a sojourn to San Diego while you are in town enjoying the Disneyland Resort. Other than driving, you might want to check out the train options with Amtrak or Metrolink. I'm not sure if they offer overnight schedules, but they certainly run during the day and some routes have incredible views of the coast between Anaheim and San Diego. You might also need to take a Lyft or taxi to get to and from the train station to the Disneyland Resort, so if you are traveling with little ones make sure you have the appropriate child seats with you.

Since you'll be visiting other southern California destinations, have you considered purchasing the SoCal City Pass? The SoCal CityPASS includes a three-day Park Hopper ticket to the Disneyland Resort, one day at LEGOLAND California Resort, and one day at SeaWorld Adventure Park. This might be the perfect deal for your family next spring!

I hope this helps. Please stop by again with any other questions you may have as you plan your adventure to the Happiest Place on Earth!
