Our May trip is in jeopardy due to recent surgery ($). We'd like to salvage the trip. Had premier plan. Need BLT 1BR due to ease of transportation/less sensory issues. Any suggestions would be appreciated; may be cook in-room. I really need your help!

Hi Rochelle, I'm sorry that your family has had to deal with a surgery and the stresses that can come with that. I hope that whoever had the surgery is on the mend and feeling better.

If you are wanting to cut costs, but still keep Bay Lake Towers 1 Bedroom, I have a couple suggestions. I'm not sure what your trip did entail, so I will make a few recommendations and you can decide if they apply to you:

    * Switch to Base Tickets from Park Hoppers. This can save a fair amount of money. There is plenty to see in each Park that you don't need to Hop. In addition, drop Water Park and More option. Base tickets in the 4 main Theme Parks is still very Magical.

    * Plan to eat breakfast in your room. In addition, bring snacks into the Parks. Since you will be at BLT, you'll be close to Magic Kingdom. On your MK days, eat dinner in your room as well. In addition, you can make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a few lunches. Bring water bottles into the Parks. You can order from Garden Grocer . com and have groceries delivered to you at your Resort. This will save you a considerable amount of money.

    * Do not rent a car, use the complimentary Magical Express. Disney's transportation can bring you wherever you need to go on property.

I hope this gives you a few ideas, I really hope you are able to save your vacation.

    Best of luck,
