May we travel from Disneyland to California Adventure and then back to Disneyland with hopper tickets?

Hey there, Carrie. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to visit us with your question!

I absolutely enjoy the flexibility of a Park Hopper ticket! You get to enjoy the pixie-dusted fun of both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park on the same day. Moreover, hopping across the Esplanade from one park to another is easy-peasy and convenient! On a recent trip to the Disneyland Resort, my family and I started out at Disneyland Park in the morning. We managed to get an early boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and then we spent the morning exploring the glorious Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. After 1 PM, we hopped over to Disney California Adventure Park and visited Avengers Campus and Pixar Pier. Then after a quick visit to Downtown Disney District, we returned to Disneyland Park to enjoy several more attractions including Matterhorn Bobsleds and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad after sunset, then finished off with taking nighttime photos in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

With a Park Hopper ticket, you can hop to the second park after 1 PM; afterwards, if you wish, you can hop back and forth as long as the parks are not at full capacity. Simply present your ticket barcode for a Cast Member to scan at the entry turnstile, and then you’ll be on your way!

As you continue to plan your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again. We’re all EARS!

    Have a magical day,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
