Hi there Cynthia,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with a question about your upcoming Spring stay at
Disney World. You’ve got me daydreaming about Old Key West Resort and the Sandcastle slide; my family has so many great memories from stays there!
As fellow
Disney Vacation Club Members, my family ejoys split stays - they allow us to experience the amenities and theming of more than one resort during a Disney World trip. There are so many wonderful things to discover at each resort, we always have a hard time deciding on where to stay! When you book a split stay, unfortunately, your stays are treated as separate reservations. This means that for dining, you’ll have access to the 60-day dining window before the check-in day at Old Key West and then your next dining window will open 60-days before you check-in at the
Copper Creek Cabins.
I highly recommend putting a reminder in your calendar so you will be ready to make your
advance dining selections the morning reservations open. I always try and book reservations beginning from the furthest date and then work backwards to the check-in date. You could also try and book the more popular restaurants first to increase your chances of securing your higher priority dining experiences.
If you find you were not successful in getting any dining selections you had your heart set on, I encourage you to keep trying as your vacation gets closer. Guests often change plans so you never know what might pop up!
I hope this information helps with your vacation planning, Cynthia. Wishing you a magical stay at both Old Key West and the Copper Creek Cabins, enjoy every minute! If you have any other vacation planning questions, please don’t hesitate to visit planDisney again.
I’d love to help!
Welcome Home,
Candace
