We're going in May & staying at Coronado Springs w/ our 2 boys (8 & 5) & looking for character meal that is convenient (visiting other hotels seems time consuming via bus). We've done Tusker House & Crystal Palace. Wish there was Star Wars

    Hi, Sandy!

Traveling to other resorts can be a bit time consuming, but sometimes worth it to visit with your favorite Disney pals!  I know when we stay at resorts that are off by themselves and we don't have a car, we have often used a taxi which is relatively inexpensive and so much quicker.  For example, you might want to start your day with breakfast with Goofy, Minnie, and pals at the Beach Club' Cape May Cafe buffet.  You can take a taxi there (around $10 fare) then after breakfast, Epcot is just a short walk away.

Now I know you don't want to travel to a resort, but going to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary really is a breeze!  It is just about a 10-15 walk from the front gates of the Magic Kingdom.  Then, the walk back to the bus depot where you can catch a bus to any resort is about 10 minutes, not too bad!  Chef Mickey's serves breakfast and dinner daily.  Here you can meet Mickey, Goofy, and the gang!  This might be a good idea for a late dinner after a day in the Magic Kingdom, then head to the bus for Coronado Springs.

Other "In Park" character dining locations that you might like include  Epcot:  Garden Grill with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale or Animal Kingdom:  Donald's Safari Breakfast with Donald, Pluto, Chip and Dale.   You can also check this complete list of Character Dining Locations

I hope you find a character dining location that will work for you.  It is a great way to meet all your Disney pals and have a wonderful dining experience!  Good luck!
