This may be a silly question - but do the characters (throughout the park and at the character dining meals) talk?

Hi Erin, it's not a silly question at all! In fact, a lot of people often wonder the same thing.

You will find that some of the characters do talk. The Princesses and ones with a "face" do converse with you. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pooh, Tigger and other such characters do not speak a verbal language. However, they do sign autographs and are quite skilled in non-verbal communication. You'll be surprised how well you will understand what they are "saying" to you. :) Mickey and his friends do speak during the parades and stage shows, so you will be able to hear their voices then.

Hope this helps and have a Magical vacation!
