Hey there, hi there, ho there, Barbara!
You’re as welcome as can be to planDisney. Ooh! I would love to sit down with you over a nice cup of hot cocoa and a toasted cheese sandwich from
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe and listen to all the wonderful stories you must have. What a treat it would be to listen to your experiences of watching Walt through the years.
I am very excited to experience
Walt's Main Street Story Tour. We’ve got our theme park admission ready, park reservations booked to
Disneyland Park, and the tour itself is also purchased. The countdown is on in my family too. I can’t wait!
Fortunately, you too can enjoy this amazing experience. Guests who require the use of a mobility aid can definitely be accommodated on Walt's Main Street Story Tour. During the
reservation process online, there is a section for “Special Requests.” The paragraph implies the requests are meant for special dietary needs. But it is actually a section set up for requesting wheelchair accessibility. Simply click the “Add Special Requests” link and select the wheelchair option.
During the tour itself, you may use your Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV/scooter) for the portion along
Main Street, U.S.A. The lift up to Walt’s apartment over the fire station isn’t able to accommodate an ECV, and the apartment itself is a little tight. So you may choose to experience that part of the tour without a mobility aid or transfer to a complimentary wheelchair. Personally, I would recommend accepting the wheelchair offer. But you may wish to consult with your tour guide to determine what would work best for your needs.
Barbara, I’m excited for you to return to The Happiest Place on Earth again. You will have such a magical time as you reminisce in that “world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.”
See ya’ real soon!
