This may seem like a silly question, but today Disney announced a free dinning plan for certain nights in Oct, we are going 10/17-10/24 and it seems like the only week in Oct they aren't offering it, any ideas why?

Hello Renee, not a silly question at all.  In fact, I just answered a similar question from another guest from NY.  Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you as we are not privy to Disney's marketing strategy.  It could be that there are already sufficient bookings for the week you are vacationing.  I'm not sure if you are flexible in your dates at all but if you are able to arrive on a date where the free dining is in effect, you would qualify for the offer for your entire stay.  For example, if you could move your vacation back  to arrive 10/8, you would be eligible for the offer if there are still rooms available.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!  Diane
