Alex, hello and welcome to
planDisney. Your question just made me smile because if you read my bio you'll find out that I am an avid popcorn bucket and souvenir cup collector.
Your question is not one bit silly to me, Alex! I actually use my popcorn buckets a lot at home and put the standard ones that look like actual buckets on the top rack of my dishwasher. I did, however, just go to my popcorn bucket cabinet in my kitchen (yes, I really have one!) to verify that these are indeed dishwasher safe - and they are! You can put the bucket and the lid on the top rack. However, the more elaborate designed ones like the Mickey-shaped balloon or the new Figment one are not. Those are going to be hand-wash only. If you have any doubt, you can always turn the popcorn bucket over and you should see the dishwasher sign on the bottom of the popcorn bucket. If it has a slash through it, it is not dishwasher safe and if it doesn't then you are good to go.
Popcorn buckets are refillable during your
Walt Disney World vacation making it not only a souvenir but a pretty affordable snack throughout your stay too. Dual-purpose! Popcorn buckets can range in price depending on which type you choose, the character ones are going to be more expensive than the typical standard bucket. However, no matter which bucket you choose, refills are just $2.00. If you see flavored popcorn being offered such as the maple popcorn-like back in the Canda Pavillion of
The World Showcase at EPCOT you can even refill your bucket with that! You can purchase popcorn buckets at all four Walt Disney World Theme Parks and at Disney Springs so be sure to keep an eye out for your favorite when you are out and about.
I hope you enjoy your popcorn bucket as much as I do, Alex. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
Jackie H.
