Hi, Wendy!
Not a silly question at all!
Sanaa is one of my family's favorite restaurants due to the excellent, unique food, the friendly staff, the cozy decor and, of course, the savannah view!
The savannah itself is not lit up at night, as many of the animals actually hunker down and sleep right there all night and the lights would be disturbing. However, if you walk out at night to the viewing area, there's a lovely little campfire, surrounded by wooden rocking chairs, which is a great spot for nighttime viewing and storytelling by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. You may also be able to experience night vision viewing of the animals there as well, which is sure to be something you haven't done previously on Christmas night! Check with the front desk as you arrive for information about any special activities which may be going on that day, too.
Have fun planning your holiday, and be sure to send more questions as you think of them; I love to help!
