May I reserve a day and later cancel it if a spot opens at the other park? Currently California Adventure is full the week of April 4 and we have 2-day tickets.

Hey there, Joseph! Thank you for coming to planDisney and asking us about reservations. I am here to help get you an answer.

As we head into a very popular time to visit Disneyland Resort with spring breaks happening, I definitely suggest you grab the reservations that you can. You absolutely can cancel those reservations at any time and rebook for a different park or day.

As you mentioned, you are hoping to be able to reserve a day at Disney California Adventure Park, but currently, you don't see any reservations. The Theme Park Reservation Availability Calender is constantly changing as Guests cancel and book their reservations. I suggest that you keep looking every day (multiple times a day) to see if anything pops up. The chances of seeing availability may increase in the day or two leading up to your planned visit when Guests decide to cancel. I was able to even get reservations for a day that previously did not have availability once I got to the parks.

My biggest tip is that I recommend would be not to cancel those reservations until you see the availability and then act fast as they can disappear again as soon as they appear.

Joseph, I really am wishing on a star that you are able to grab reservations and that Disney California Adventure Park reservations open up so you get to experience the magic of both parks on your visit. If you make it into Disney California Adventure Park, be sure to celebrate with some yummy treats, like the Snickers Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Mickey Macaron from the Nuts About Cheese kiosk. It's my current favorite treat in the parks!

    See ya real soon!

All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
