Hi Elizabeth,
I see you're busy planning your vacation for next summer. Although still several months away, you'll notice how time flies and you'll be packing your bags in no time.
My family loves to drive down to Walt Disney World Resort from New Jersey. We've done this trip many times even when my Padawans where little. The feeling you get when that final exit approaches is incredible, since you know you'll be home soon.
With regards on bringing your own car seat with you, you have several options. First, you may want to consider renting it from the car rental company. Although they do have a rental fee per day, most of them will have a maximum fee per rental period. Another option would be to bring the child seat back with you in the airplane. Most airlines will accept a car seat free of charge for each child.
Now, if you wish to ship it back home, the Front Desk or Concierge Desk will accept pre-packed, pre-labeled packages. However, Disney Resort Hotels that have an onsite Business Center will gladly help you all your shipping needs. Note that shipping and handling fees will apply. Visit the
Mail Services page for more information.
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to come back to the
Disney Parks Moms Panel. Happy planning!
Ricardo.
