Hi Betsy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. First and most importantly: mmmmmm….popcorn. As with coffee, Dole Whips, and Rice Krispie Treats (okay, with basically everything), popcorn just tastes better at Walt Disney World!
My family always purchases the refillable popcorn buckets at the Walt Disney World theme parks. I’m actually sad because we are on our last couple of trips with a stroller-riding kiddo, and hooking the popcorn bucket to the stroller handle means delicious popcorn is never out of reach.
Betsy, when you’re at one of Walt Disney World’s many popcorn carts, make sure you purchase a refillable popcorn bucket that is good for “length of stay.” It will usually say on the menu board, and you can always ask the friendly Cast Member to be sure. Once you’ve purchased that super-cute bucket, you will be able to refill to your popcorn-loving heart’s content at the current refill price (currently less than two dollars!) for your whole visit. Once you're home, the bucket makes a great souvenir!
There are many delicious flavors of popcorn all around the theme parks, from classic butter to maple, cheddar, and beyond. Please note that not all flavored popcorn will be eligible for refills at the discounted rate. One of my favorite treats is the caramel popcorn at Karamell-Küche in Epcot's Germany Pavilion. This popcorn is not part of the refillable bucket promotion, and I’m fine with that because it is worth every penny (also, that shop smells incredible). Be sure you “pop” over to the popcorn cart outside of
Journey Into Imagination with Figment, which carries a variety of flavors and which participates in the refillable bucket promotion.
Have a snack-tacular and magical vacation!
Robyn
