I may take my 4yo on the Pirates & Pals in May. My husband and other son would like to wait for us at the Contemp. (We're staying at AoA.) What can they do to kill time? Can they swim? Is the arcade open late? Can they sit at the beach? Ideas?

    Hi Jill!

    This is a great question.

My family and I just went on a Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage in August. My wife, my two boys (ages 13 and 8), and I all absolutely loved it. It is great watching the firework from a boat in the Seven Seas Lagoon. In fact, this was the one event that my wife and kids said they absolutely had to do again on our next trip to Walt Disney World. You might want to consider bringing your whole family with you.

That said, if other members of your party don't want to go, they could spend time exploring the resort or playing in the arcade. They can also sit on the beach, but unfortunately won't be able to go swimming as pool hopping is not allowed. They could also take the monorail to the other nearby resorts and explore them while waiting.

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
