Hei Hei, Jamie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
The line where the sky meets Cinderella Castle calls me too, and I'm so happy to hear that you've set your course to find Walt Disney World Resort next year. Moana is one of my very favorites – I love her adventurous spirit, her sense of purpose, and her empathy.
Moana is currently out wayfinding, and we don't know when she'll return to Walt Disney World. I spotted her at both Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in 2018, but otherwise she has been answering her call by traveling the seas. Reading the Disney Parks Blog is your best bet for learning news about new character experiences or other fun additions to the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs.
My Moana-loving Mouseketeers spent a whole morning playing with their Moana dolls (which we picked up in
Moana Mercantile) in the sandy beach area between Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on our recent visit, and it totally warmed my heart. Your Moana fan won’t want to miss the Moana sequence during the
Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular in Magic Kingdom Park – I cry every single time. There's currently an adorable
Hei Hei Cone at Aloha Aisle in Adventureland, though I'm not sure how long it will stick around. You can also spy Moana on the riverboat at the end of Mickey's fantastic dream in Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
I hope that next year you and your little one find that Moana is where you are!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
