Hello Skye, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
Fantasmic! is one of my favorite nighttime spectaculars in Walt Disney World; the unique blend of theatrical, pyrotechnic, and water projection elements is an incredible experience. Securing your seat at the show with a
dining package is a great idea, and I'd be happy to review some details.
Skye, regarding your concern about the private event impacting evening entertainment, Hakuna Matata! No worries! You can still enjoy Fantasmic! during your visit, even if the rest of the theme park is closed to regular Guests at show time.
Disney's Hollywood Studios often closes for the day at the same time as Fantasmic! begins. This means that at 9 PM, attractions, most shops, and restaurants cease operations, and the nighttime show will be the only entertainment available. After the show, you'll be directed to the theme park exit.
I hope this gives you peace of mind that you'll be able to enjoy the evening as planned. Although your dining package reserves your spot for Fantasmic!, it's still a good idea to arrive at least thirty minutes before the show begins so you have time to walk to the theater and find a seat. You'll receive a voucher at your lunch which you'll present to the Cast Member stationed at the reserved seating entrance to the Fantasmic! theater. If you plan to purchase refreshments inside the theater (popcorn is a must for my family), give yourself additional time. It may sound odd, but I am completely mesmerized watching the theater fill up before showtime, so I'm never bored waiting in my seat. The Cast Members have a precise seating system, which fascinates me!
Thanks again for sending your question our way, Skye. If there's anything else we at
planDisney can do to make your trip even more memorable, don't hesitate to come see us again. We love to talk about everything from
