Hi Suzanne! Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for asking this question! I'm so excited to hear that you are planning a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth! My family just returned from our vacation last week and utilized grocery delivery while staying at our Walt Disney World Resort Hotel.
I'm happy to say that you can have groceries delivered to
Disney's All-Star Music Resort! There is a brand-new system in place for receiving groceries that just started at this resort last week. Select vendors will be able to drop off groceries at new locker facilities located outside Melody Hall, near luggage services. As you are choosing a vendor, I would verify with them that they can deliver to this resort.
If you will be checking in using the
Online Check-In Service, you will receive an email notification when the grocery items have been delivered to the lockers. The email will include instructions on how to access the locker. The email notification will be sent to the email address that you provided or confirmed when using the Online Check-In service.
There are some important things to keep in mind with this locker delivery service. A $6 per-package handling fee will apply. There is refrigerated storage offered, but it is subject to availability. If you are ordering alcoholic beverages, those cannot be delivered to the lockers and must be picked up in person. I also found that when we had alcohol delivered to our hotel, the vendor required an ID to be presented at the time of delivery by someone that is 21 or older.
If you do not plan to use the Online Check-In service, you will need to pick up the groceries at bell services or arrange for in-person delivery with the vendor directly. If you do this, I would recommend choosing a delivery window on your arrival date and within a few hours after you plan to be at the resort.
My best advice for ordering groceries is to determine what you and your travel party will consume. As I ordered grocery items for our family, I tried to base it on the amount of time we would spend at our resort and the itinerary I had planned. I have to say there are so many yummy snack items at the parks, that often a Mickey-shaped treat will likely be desired over a snack you have packed. After all, eating Mickey-shaped treats is very fun!
When thinking about beverages, another thing I wanted to mention is that you can purchase a refillable mug at your resort. This mug includes unlimited refills of soda, tea, coffee, and water for the duration of your stay! Our family loves the selection of beverages offered and the mug is a highly coveted souvenir!
As you are planning your vacation, I wanted to make sure that you know as a guest of a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you will receive complimentary transportation to the theme parks as well as early entry! If you have already purchased your
theme park tickets, please be sure that you have made a
theme park reservation for each day that you would like to visit the theme parks.
The World's Most Magical Celebration is happening right now and I know that you will have a magical vacation! Please stop by again if you have any other questions I can help with!
Happy Planning!
Lisa
