May 2014 grandparents 1st visit with me hubby, 3 sons 2,4,7. 4 day park tix, 1 mk, 1 epcot, 1 hs, last AK or MK?? Really like start and end trip with MK, but never been to AK. Do not want to spend extra money on hopper. Planning day for pool & boat re

    Hi Jonathan!
That is one of the most asked questions for us here at the Panel! Considering your sons ages, I, personally, would spring for the second day at Magic Kingdom. There is so much to see and do there, that there are some things you are not going to get to in the first day. I always start and end my trips at MK, so I know what you mean.
To me, Animal Kingdom is a nice-to-do but not a "MUST-DO" like Magic Kingdom. Just my opinion. The pool day is a good idea too. especially if it is used strategically to break up the week. It really does rejuvenate everyone after a few days of park touring.
I hope this helps and I wish you all a Magical vacation!! :)
