May I use gift cards as a form of payment towards my trip balance?

Hello Sheri!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I use Disney Gift Cards for everything at Walt Disney World Resort.  They are convenient, easy-to-share and fantastic gifts for any Disney fan or Disney-bound traveler.
Official Disney Gift Cards can be used at any Walt Disney World Resort Hotels front desk as payment for hotel room nights or any accumulated balance accrued on your MagicBand during your vacation.  That means that in addition to paying your current balance on your trip, whenever you use your MagicBand to shop, dine or enjoy recreational activities, you can use your Disney Gift Card to pay for those activities at the front desk of your resort.
Todd Tip - Let the front desk know of your intentions to pay using your Disney gift cards or use them early in your vacation to avoid being left near the end of your trip with a stocked Disney Gift Card and a credit card charge because you thought you would have time to "do it later".  Don't procrastinate, like I did!
Speaking of MagicBands, remember to use the My Disney Experience App to book Advanced Dining Reservations, plan your Fastpasses and prepare for your upcoming trip.  In my opinion, the only thing sweeter than swiping a Disney Gift Card is swiping my MagicBand for a Fastpass+ that avoids a long queue for a favorite attraction.
    Have a Magical Vacation!
