Hello Amber! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Before the new Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show began to officially start your day at Magic Kingdom, I was constantly missing the Opening Ceremonies with Mickey and the Gang entering on the Walt Disney World Railroad. It became a running joke in my family that the train would arrive whenever I was not there.
With the
new Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show, I find it not only easier to understand the scheduling but also more accessible to Guests whether they are Walt Disney World Resort Guests taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours or Off-Property Guests arriving for "rope drop" and official Theme Park Opening.
Whether there are
Extra Magic Hours being offered on a particular day or not, Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show begins roughly 5 minutes before Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open for all Guests. Main Street, U.S.A. now opens to all Guests between 25-45 minutes before the show is scheduled to open the rest of the Magic Kingdom, with shops and the
Main Street Bakery open for early browsing and much needed Starbucks coffee.
The difference during days when
Extra Magic Hours are offered to Guests as a benefit of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, is that the participating attractions are accessible and available.
If you are taking part in Extra Magic Hours and want to see the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show, return to the front of Cinderella Castle 5 minutes before Magic Kingdom Park opens to all Guests and enjoy the fun.
Have a Great Morning!
~Todd
