Welcome back to planDisney, Cheryl!
So, we're planning a post-Christmas shopping spree?!?! Your plans are bringing out my inner Daisy Duck, and she is thrilled. So let's dive into the details!
You can certainly drop guests off at the front entrance of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Just give a heads-up at valet that it's a quick drop-off, and then your cast of characters are free to roam the
Acorns Gifts & Goods shop for as long as they please!
I couldn't help but notice that in your previous question, you're eyeing a meal at the
Storyteller's Cafe– excellent choice! That's my favorite restaurant in the entire Disneyland resort! If you manage to snag a table there, your
parking gets validated for a generous 3 hours. So then you can join in the shopping extravaganza too!
By the way, Cheryl, have you ever experienced the Grand Californian lobby during the holiday season? It's like stepping into a winter wonderland, with a towering Christmas tree at the center and a life-sized gingerbread house crafted from scratch every year. Speaking of gingerbread, have you checked out the annual
Foodie Guide to Holidays yet? The world-famous Mickey-shaped Gingerbread Cookies are available at the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart until January 7th. I can never get enough of those limited-time treats! My pal,
Panelist Jeremy A, loved them so much that after trying them on his first visit to The Happiest Place On Earth last year, he decided to whip them up at home this year. Should I grab one for him and mail it with my family's Christmas card to spread some holiday cheer?
Write back and let me know! (You don't really have to, but if you have any more questions, you can always send one to me directly
here.) I'd love to know what other yuletide plans you and your gal pals are planning for your winter escape next month!
See ya real soon,
Danielle
