May I use my Disney egift card to purchase park admission tickets and passes? Can it also be used for dining in the park?

Hello there, Jim! Thanks for popping over to planDisney with your fantastic question! It sounds like you've been gifted a little bit of Disney magic in the form of a Disney Gift Card—lucky you! My pals know that a Disney Gift Card is practically my love language; they're perfect for sprinkling a bit of extra enchantment on any occasion. And with your Disneyland Resort adventure just around the riverbend (less than two months away!), it's the perfect time to get those tickets and park reservations sorted.

I'm delighted to share that, yes, you can absolutely use your Disney Gift Card to purchase those park admission tickets! Since yours arrived electronically, it's even easier—consider it express entry to the fun! Just hop onto the tickets page of the Disneyland website or open the Disneyland mobile app, add those tickets to your cart, and when you're ready to checkout, select the Disney Gift Card option. It's as easy as pie (or perhaps a Mickey pretzel!).

Now, here's a little insider tip, Jim: Disneyland's system currently allows one Disney Gift Card per transaction. If you have multiple cards, fear not! You can easily combine your gift cards (up to a grand total of $1,000—that's a lot of churros!) on the Disney Gift Card website. Just look for the "My Cards" button at the top, sign into your Disney account, and you'll see the option to add a card (if yours aren’t already linked to your account). Enter the details for each card, then you should see a magical option to transfer balances between them. Poof! All your funds, ready to go in one place!

But the magic doesn't stop there, Jim! Once you've secured your tickets, that Disney Gift Card keeps on giving. Think of it as your passport to deliciousness and delightful souvenirs! You can use it at tons of dining and merchandise locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. And here's a pro-tip: It even works seamlessly with mobile food and beverage ordering and mobile merchandise checkout—two of my absolute favorite features in the Disneyland app! You'll simply make your selections in the app, and at checkout, you can copy and paste your e-gift card info into the payment method fields—it couldn't be easier!

And speaking of magical shopping sprees, did you know you can even use your Disney Gift Card at the Disney Store before your trip? I’m going to be honest… When I hopped over there, I got distracted by the dedicated Vacation Shop section. Needless to say, my mind is already in vacation mode on your behalf! The Disney Store is a great place to buy some matching shirts for your group or pick up a new pair of Mickey ears.

So, Jim, get ready to unleash the magic of your Disney Gift Card! I hope this helps, and I'm wishing you the most enchanting Disneyland Resort vacation imaginable. If any other questions pop up, don't hesitate to send them our way—we're here to help make your Disney dreams a reality!
