We may be coming in on a late flight, (way past check in time) Will that interfere with us checking in and getting our room for the night? Thank you!

    Hello Casy!

I am so glad that you have found us and brought your question to us at planDisney. Traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort is just the beginning of your adventure.

On a few of my most recent trips, I arrived well after check-in time. Hakuna Matata! I was able to take advantage of the Direct-To-Room Service. Begin by completing the Online Check-in service, online or in the mobile app. You will be allowed to check in to your room up to 30 days in advance of your arrival. Once you have completed the Online Check-in process, you will get real-time Resort reservation updates in the mobile app, on your arrival. You will even receive a notification when your room is ready.

The My Disney Experience mobile app will display your room number along with a helpful map to find your room. You can use your MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile,  or the My Disney Experience app to unlock the door to your room. You will still find Cast Members in the entrance lobby and the front desk to your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel to assist you if need it. Bell Services is also available to help you with your luggage if you require it. If there is anything else that you need upon your arrival, you can always call the “Front Desk” from the phone in your room. Assistance is available 24 hours a day.

The best night’s sleep I have ever had is on the first night of a Disney vacation. Just knowing that you will have the opportunity to enjoy the 50th Anniversary Celebration and all the new experiences created as a part of the celebration makes me want to join you. You are going to love Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection! 50 golden statues of your favorite Disney Characters in all 4 theme parks, they make the perfect photo op.

I am wishing you all the fun and magic on your upcoming trip. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again here at planDisney.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
