I am sorry to hear that you might have to cancel; it is understandable, and thankfully cancellations happen if necessary. I have had to cancel a vacation or two, and it is never a fun decision, but the good news is that as soon as you are able, you can make another reservation when the time comes.

That is correct; if you cancel your Walt Disney World Resort vacation 2 to 29 days before arrival, the amount paid (minus a cancellation fee of $200 per package) will be refunded (minus any fees assessed by third-party hotels or suppliers, if applicable). Another option; if you decide just to make adjustments to your current reservation, that option is available but is subject to availability and a change fee. I hope this helps.
