When in May is the best time? We are planning on going in May 2015, around the 18th, right before the Memorial Day holiday.

    Bethany:

The "best" time to visit Disney depends on your definition of the word 'best.' If 'best' means low crowds, then you'll be hitting the sweet spot of lower attendance in May between Mother's Day Weekend and Memorial Day Weekend if you keep your booking around the 18th. If 'best' means cooler weather, the earlier in the month the better as temperatures begin rising throughout May and June to their peak highs in July and August. And if 'best' means lower prices, you'll find that your hotel rate will be cheaper than the summer, but not as good as Value Season that runs mid-January through mid-February, September and mid-November to mid-December.

As a Star Wars fan, the best news is that Disney will more than likely be celebrating Star Wars Weekends while you're there, which makes May one of the "best" months of the year for a visit regardless of crowds, price and even weather. So keep an eye out at www.disneyworld.com early next year for updates during your visit dates.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
