Hello, may I ask why the Armed Forces Salute tickets cannot be used the week of 3/25? We booked our trip for these dates, and just found out that these dates are blacked out. We are a little bummed that we may not be able to afford it without the discount.

    Greetings Christina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love being able to help other military families plan their vacations to the Disneyland Resort.

You are correct that the Military Promotional 3-Day and 4-Day Park Hopper Tickets have blockout dates from March 23 through April 8, 2018. Usually this is a very popular time to visit the Disneyland Resort due to Spring Break and Easter vacations. Blockout dates historically occur when the Parks are more heavily attended than usual. While the Military Promotional Ticket is not valid during this time, you can still obtain a military discount on standard Park Tickets from your local base ticket office. These tickets are not as heavily discounted as the Promotional ticket, but they do offer a slight discount compared to regularly priced tickets. Just a reminder that these can ONLY be purchased at your local base and not at the Disneyland Resort.

During your trip you are still able to take advantage of the generous military discount offered on the Disney Photopass Collection! You can capture all of your magical memories with unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass pictures taken throughout the Resort during your whole stay.

If budget is a concern, there are also other great ways to save at the Disneyland Resort. We like to bring some snacks with us from home and also tend to eat at more Quick Service Restaurants. My absolute favorite meal at the Disneyland Resort is the fried chicken plate at Plaza Inn. This is actually big enough for me and my husband to share!

Please feel free to return if you have any other questions as your trip approaches!
