    May I ask how the dining plan work on buffet with character dining? How many meal credit it needs? Also, how can I find which restaurant offers the vip seating for the show? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I love character dining! It's a great way to ensure that you can spend time with the characters, in a relaxed setting, with plenty of time for photos. You can see all the available options for character dining here. If you select the restaurant you are interested in, look to the top right, and click on the link that says 'Some Dining Plans Accepted'. This will take you to all the information you need. For most options, the Disney Dining Plan can be used, and you would need one table service entitlement per person.

    There are many dining packages that offer VIP seating for a show. Because I have enjoyed Fantasmic! many times, I will talk about that first. You can make a dining reservation at one of three restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and then your seating is guaranteed in a reserved section at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater. Your choice of restaurants is Hollywood & Vine or Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano (both use one dining credit each) or The Hollywood Brown Derby (two dining credits each). Your Fantasmic! Dining Package can be reserved here. You may wish to browse the other dining packages here, (to filter your search, click on Dining Experience, and then select Dining Events). There is something to suit everyone, including a variety of Dessert Parties.
