I got maxpass for three day park hopper, but after the third day afternoon time the app wants me to rebuy the maxpass. Does maxpass only last for two days or for the whole time in the park?

If you are arriving between now and March 31, please click here for more information.

    Hello, James!

Uh oh! I wonder if that mischievous Stitch has been trying to “help out” again. I’m sorry you have been experiencing issues with your theme park ticket and the Disney MaxPass add-on. Let’s see if we can work through some possible causes and solutions for these issues.

There are two ways to purchase Disney MaxPass. The first way is to purchase MaxPass at the same time as your theme park ticket purchase. When bundled together this way, you should have MaxPass for the same number of days as you have on the ticket. To activate MaxPass features for a given day, the theme park ticket must have been activated first by using it to gain admission to a theme park, either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park

The other way to purchase Disney MaxPass is one day at a time. This method allows you to choose which days you would like to purchase MaxPass. This method of using MaxPass may be preferable for guests who may plan to visit the theme parks for only portions of some days, and therefore would not have as much time to take advantage of the features of MaxPass those days. To purchase MaxPass for just one day at a time during a visit, the ticket must have been used to enter a park first. Then, simply select “Get FASTPASS with Disney MaxPass” from within the Disneyland app to start the process of purchasing MaxPass. MaxPass may also be purchased at a main Guest Relations location.

If you find that you are unable to make Disney FASTPASS selections or access new Disney PhotoPass photos on a given day and you have already been inside one of the parks and have MaxPass added to the ticket one way or the other, there may be an issue within the Disneyland app. An initial diagnostic to perform might be to verify that your account hasn’t become signed out in the app. Or it may be helpful to try signing out and signing back in. And, though I know it’s not the most convenient thing, it may be worth forcing the app to fully quit and then relaunching it or maybe even rebooting the whole mobile device to see if that can help root out Experiment 626. If those actions don’t help resolve the issue, it may be time to call in for backup. The Cast Members on the various phone support lines will be glad to offer assistance. I would try either the Website Support line (they know how to work with the app too) or the Tickets line. Alternatively, you will find the Cast Members at Guest Relations very helpful with these types of issues as well.

I hope that Stitch doesn’t find any more ways to cause issues for you and that your visits to the Disneyland Resort are as enjoyable as possible. Thanks for your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, James. If you have any other questions, we would be glad to hEAR from you again.
