Is there a maximum number of Magic Bands per account? I tried to link my newest Magic Band but it doesn’t show and when I try to do it again it now doesn’t recognize the code.

Hey Howdy Hey Ryan and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about MagicBands and MagicBand+. I will be happy to try and help you through this process to get your MagicBand Connected and active for your upcoming trip. Let's see what we can do!

The first thing to do, which sounds like you already have, is to make sure you try to connect your MagicBand appropriately to your My Disney Experience account. In the past, I have had better luck doing things like this with the online version rather than the My Disney Experience app. I would recommend trying it online if you have not already done so. You can do this by logging into your account, going to "My MagicBands and Cards" and then scrolling to the bottom for the blue "Link" button to add a new MagicBand.

If you have and still have not had success, the next tried and true method would be to completely log out of your account and log back in. Still surprises me how often and reliably this works on so many things! This is always a step Disney IT department will always tell you to attempt as well, so check the boxes before moving forward!

Unfortunately, if nothing to this point is successful a call to Disney IT would be the next step. You can call Disney at (407) 939-4357 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist you with getting everything ironed out. The other option you have is to wait until your vacation and if you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can have the front desk look into it and get everything squared away for your vacation as well.

When it comes to MagicBands and MagicBand+ on your My Disney Experience account, I am not aware of any limit on how many bands or cards you can have linked to your account. I know plenty of individuals with 20 or more and do not have any issues linking new ones or using multiple per trip. I would not think that the sheer number of them would be an issue rather than a glitch in the system linking yours properly would be more like it.

Sorry, I could not be more helpful but hopefully one of these options will be the one that gets things rolling for your upcoming trip. As you continue to plan for your trip later this year, make sure to keep up with all of the latest news and information over at Disney Parks Blog for things that may impact your trip. So much will be happening to celebrate the holiday season throughout Walt Disney World Resort and this will be the place to hear about all of the details. Of course, you can always stop back with any further questions you may have for your trip, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
