Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Tonya. I'm so glad you stopped by! It looks like you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. And with kids in tow! You're sure to make lots of magical memories together.
There's nothing my three kids don't enjoy about a Disney vacation. The attractions, the entertainment, the food - they love it all! They also love the incredible
Disney Resorts Collection pools. With incredible theming and fun features, they always have a splash-tastic time, whether we're taking a midday dip in the pool or squeezing in a late-night swim.
My youngest is only 4-years old and not yet a proficient swimmer, so I especially appreciate Disney Resorts Collection pools that feature a water play area. These aquatic playgrounds give my preschooler a safe place to splish, splash, and explore. In general, Guests must be 48" or under to enjoy the water play areas at Disney Resorts Collection hotels. This specification
is posted at the
Fuentes del Morro Water Play Area at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, but
not posted at the
Schoolyard Sprayground at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. In my experience, my older kiddos (ages 10 and 12) have been permitted to play with my 4-year old in the water play areas. (I'm sure it was fine because they were playing appropriately and because I was there to supervise.)
Did you know that complimentary life vests are available at all Disney Resorts Collection feature pools? Talk about convenience! These life vests are available on a first-come, first-served basis, though, so if your
little one will depend on a flotation device, it may be wise to bring your own along.
I hope this was helpful, Tonya. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
