Toy Story Land Toy Story Mania

I want to maximize the patience of my 3.5 year old to wait in line and still do all the Toy Story rides . On the day of, after we use our first tier 1 FassPass, can we modify our next tier 2 FastPass for an add'l tier 1 ride if there is availability?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Margaret!

If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, the opportunity will have just opened up a few days ago for you to go ahead and make your FastPass+ selections for your upcoming trip this fall because you have the benefit of being able to book them up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. There are lots of things to consider when you're traveling with a little one, so I totally understand wanting to use those FastPass+ selections to your advantage to maximize their patience when there's so much to see and do!

Booking your FastPass+ selections the way you describe them in your question is exactly what I would do. Since the Toy Story Land attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios are all first-tier attractions when it comes to booking FastPass+, I would go ahead and book either Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, or Toy Story Mania! as early as you can in the day, followed by your choice of tier-two attractions. Once you've tapped your MagicBand and redeemed your FastPass+ for the tier-one attraction you've booked, you can immediately begin attempting to modify either of your other two FastPass+ selections for anything else, keeping in mind that you can only be holding one tier-one FastPass+ at a time. The keyword, as you said, is availability, since first-tier attractions tend to be very popular with most guests. Never stop looking though, because my husband once found us a FastPass+ for Avatar Flight of Passage in the middle of the afternoon while we were at Disney's Animal Kingdom, so magic can happen at any time!

I hope this answers your question, Margaret, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
