Hello there, Erika! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I absolutely love the level of detail you're putting into your Disney planning—because let’s be honest, after a long day in the parks, a magical night’s sleep is a must!
To answer your question: no, not all mattresses are the same across
Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The mattress type can vary depending on the resort category, and even then, it may vary from resort to resort within the same category!
At Value Resorts, the mattresses are typically Sealy Sayer Prolux LTD. These are firmer and functional, which is great if you prefer a sturdier sleep surface. At Moderate Resorts, you’ll usually find Beautyrest Plush Top mattresses. These offer a bit more softness and cushion while still being supportive. And at the Deluxe Resorts, you’ll typically get the most luxurious sleep experience with Beautyrest Pillow Top mattresses. These are soft, cozy, and designed for ultimate comfort.
Now, while that’s the general pattern, there are exceptions, and mattress types can shift slightly depending on recent refurbishments or resort-specific choices.
Personally, I’ve found that
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa have the softest and most comfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on at Walt Disney World! The Grand Floridian uses Simmons Beautyrest Pillow Top mattresses, while Animal Kingdom Lodge features Sealy Posturepedic mattresses. Both are incredibly comfy in their own unique ways!
If you have any more questions (big or small), we’re always here and more than happy to help. Wishing you sweet dreams and the most restful nights at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
