Matterhorn Bobsleds is currently open, so your dreams of racing through icy caverns and narrowly escaping the Abominable Snowman can absolutely come true. There is nothing quite like zipping down that mountain with the cool alpine breeze and that classic Disneyland charm all wrapped into one unforgettable ride.
As for refurbishment plans, the Matterhorn underwent a refurbishment in 2025, and at this time there are no announced plans for another closure. Of course, attraction schedules can change, so I always recommend doing a quick check before heading to the parks. I make it part of my own pre-park routine. In the
Disneyland app, tap the three lines in the bottom right corner, select Park Hours & Info, choose your visit date, and scroll down to the Closed for Refurbishment section. It is the easiest way to stay in the know and plan your must-do attractions.
