Hi Anna, welcome to planDisney! There are
so many fantastic dining options at the Disneyland Resort. There's something special about pausing for a delicious meal and recharging between the excitement of attractions and entertainment. In fact, I just made a reservation for
Carnation Cafe this afternoon – the plant-based brownie is calling my name! I’d be happy to help with your upcoming dining reservation.
Here’s some good news, Anna: It's OK to make Disneyland Resort dining reservations for your family even if you won't be there. Just make sure they don’t miss the reservation, as
your account would be charged for a "no show" (and that would be a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer).
When you made your dining reservation, you should have received a confirmation to the email tied to your Disney account. It might be helpful to screenshot that email or the dining itinerary in the
Disneyland mobile app and send it to someone in the party. This will give them a quick reference for the restaurant name, date, time, and number of guests. When they go to check in, the Cast Member will ask for the name that the reservation is under. And just a heads-up, all members of the party need to be present at check-in, as everyone will be seated at the same time.
If the plans are for
Magic Key Terrace in California Adventure, please know that someone in the party must show their valid Magic Key pass to check into this special dining location.
By the way, Anna, it looks like your trip will overlap with the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! It’s a foodie's dream come true. Pick up a Sip and Savor Pass to sample delicious foods from more than a dozen locations. There are also culinary demonstrations and encounters with Chef Goofy!
As Chef Remy said, "If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff." With all the tasty options around the Disneyland Resort, the whole family is in for a culinary adventure.
Anna, if you have other questions ahead of your trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help!
Your pal,
Kriss
