Does it matter when you link your Disneyland tickets to the Disneyland app? Should link it before or after you arrive in the park?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emma!
It sounds like you are familiar with the Disneyland app and I couldn’t be happier to hear it! The app will be your absolute best tool for navigating the parks easily and efficiently. It really doesn’t matter when you scan your theme park tickets into the app, but it’s one way to keep your tickets safe should you misplace or damage the physical ticket before you get to the parks. You can even use the digital ticket in the app to gain entry to the parks. Additionally, linking the tickets to the app ahead of time will save you a step if you plan to use Disney MaxPass once you are in the parks. To use MaxPass, you will need to create a FASTPASS party, and if your tickets are already linked, then they will automatically be added to your FASTPASS party and you can click forward to the next step.
After you have linked your tickets, you might want to adjust the settings in the app to receive notifications when you have an upcoming dining reservation or FASTPASS return time. Tap “My Account,” choose “Mobile Device Notifications,” and then turn on any notifications you would like. This is a new feature that could certainly come in handy if you are using Disney MaxPass or have a few dining reservations booked.
Please stop by again if you have any other questions! See ya real soon!
