Adnan! I hope you realize that we're now part of a trilogy. Like the
Cars movies,
Aladdin, or
The Little Mermaid! Let's get your question answered.
You'll want to log into your
My Disney Experience account and select "My Family & Friends" from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. You'll select "Add a Guest" and follow the prompts to request to be friends with your friend. Once they've accepted, you'll be connected and when making plans, you'll be able to select each other. If your children are under the age of 13, they won't have their own account, but instead, each will be one of your "managed profiles." For your friend to be able to make plans and select them when purchasing tickets, when sending your request, you'll select "
Connect My Managed Profiles," choose the managed profile you'd like to connect with your friend and select "Send Invite." Once accepted, your magical friend should now be able to make plans for your children as well!
As I suggested in a previous answer, follow the
Disney Parks Blog for the announcement of on-sale dates and ensure your friend knows at what time tickets go on sale. Then, when the magical day comes around that tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party go on sale, here's what I suggest your friend does:
1.) Depending on the on-sale time, they may want to brew a nice cup of coffee. I prefer coffee from Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company as it reminds me of being in the parks, but anything with caffeine will do.
2.) If your friend has an
Alexa-enabled device with the Hey Disney! skill enabled, I'd suggest requesting a Soundscape as soothing background music. I prefer the "Moana's Voyage," "Sounds of El Encanto," or "Pirate Adventures" Soundscapes, but sometimes I go crazy and tell Hey Disney! to surprise me. Of course, if they don't have one of these devices, they can play some of their favorite Disney songs to get them pumped and ready!
3.) Have the ticketing page open at least 15 minutes before tickets go live and refresh the page until they do.
4.) Once tickets go live, they'll select the number of tickets that they'd like to purchase and the system will prompt them to select the Guests from their My Family & Friends list to assign each ticket to. Ensure that they select you and your children. Once the purchase is complete, the tickets should be assigned to each of you and linked to your account.
Now, Adnan, I just want to ensure you know that this is how the process has gone in the past, but that is not a guarantee things won't change for this year. In truth, until the party is announced by Disney, we don't officially know the offerings that will be available for the upcoming Halloween season. Once again, just make sure to pay attention to Disney Parks Blog and, for good measure, make sure you've followed
Disney Parks on Instagram. And remember, tickets don't
usually sell out immediately for these events, but the closer to Halloween the event is, the sooner it will sell out. So it's best to get them as soon as possible.
My friend,
you know I'm here if you have any other questions...about Halloween or anything else related to the Walt Disney World Resort. And if I don't know the answer off the top of my head, I'll be sure to find it for you. I cannot wait for you and your family to experience Halloween at the resort. It'll be a scream!
It's all just a bunch of hocus pocus,
Matt
