I have a MasterCycle bike trailer that converts to a stroller. I will be coming at the end of March with my 6 yr old daughter (~50 lbs). Would I be wise to bring that stroller for her?

    Hi Elizabeth!!!

My wife and I have done lots of stroller research over the past couple of years to make sure that we are getting the right stroller for our three and a half year old while at Walt Disney World!!

The stroller that you are talking about seems to be a pretty hefty stroller.  It definitely appears to be roomy and comfortable, but I wouldn't recommend taking a stroller of that size to Walt Disney World.  Often times, it can get crowded on Main Street, USA or while making your way through another theme park.  I would have a fear that this stroller would not be a good one to have in a crowd as it is quite cumbersome.  I would also hate to have to see you fold this up each time you got a Walt Disney World Bus (if you are staying on property or even just using the transportation to go to another theme park.)

The strollers that we take are usually very lightweight and break down easily.  I realize that it might be difficult to find a comfortable stroller for a 50 pound child, but the Maclaren Volo we have goes to approximately 55 pounds and is very comfortable for our son.

When all else fails, you could always rent a single or double stroller at the theme parks for your daughter.  These maneuver easily and you don't have to worry about folding them up for a bus ride.

Hope this helps and that you have a magical vacation in March!!
