Hi Cori, and welcome to planDisney!
If I am not mistaken, it sounds like a visit to
Walt Disney World Resort is in store for you and your family in the near future. Congratulations, October is a great time to visit. There will be so much going on, and I love that time of year.
To answer your question, currently, face coverings are optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations and Disney transportation. "It is recommended Guests who are not fully vaccinated continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters and on enclosed transportation." Because things can change quickly, I recommend checking the
Disney World Reopening & Updates Experience page often before your arrival.
Be sure to make your
theme park reservations as soon as you can and when your 60-day window arrives, be sure to make those dining reservations. I want you to be able to enjoy and experience as much as you can. If, for some reason, there is no availability at a restaurant or theme park you want to try, keep checking back as an availability could occur at any time before your arrival.
Please let us know if you have additional questions; we are here to help.
Have a magical time!
Raquel
