Will masks be required indoors in February 2022v

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Samara. Thanks for stopping by here with a question.

Samara, Walt Disney World is returning to a world of magic more and more every day. With that being said, it is extremely hard to determine what protocols will be in place at the beginning of next year. In fact, things are changing so often that it's even hard to say what will happen next month. As of right now, face coverings are required at all indoor locations throughout Walt Disney World and are optional while outdoors. In the future, this could change either way. My best advice to is keep checking the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World safety guidelines website to know what to plan for during your trip. Things could change several times before your vacation next year so I wouldn't count on what is the standard practice now or even in a month to be what is in place during your trip. In addition to the face-covering protocols, Walt Disney World is still operating a limited capacity at its theme parks. You'll also notice increased cleaning and sanitation methods being put in place. Walt Disney World is truly doing its best to keep everyone safe and healthy while visiting Walt Disney World.

I'm sorry I don't have more information for you at this time, Samara. If you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World vacation early next year, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help. Also, check out the all-new planDisney Instagram page and follow along with Panelists in the parks and all of the latest news about visiting the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
