Are masks required everywhere at the parks and resorts?

    Hello, Lyndsay!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED to help you plan and answer your questions regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! We know you are going to have the most MAGICAL time!

What a great question! Based on the COVID-19 guidelines set by Walt Disney World, face masks are required at all Disney Theme Parks and at all Disney Resorts, even if you have received the COVID-19 vaccine. Now, you are not required to wear face masks when you are swimming or dining. You can also remove your face mask if you are actively drinking or eating in a Disney Theme Park; however, you must be stationary and maintain proper social distancing.

I was a little apprehensive in visiting Walt Disney World with my family this past July. I was concerned that wearing a face mask all day would hinder our family in having a TIGGER-ific time on our vacation. BUT...are you ready for some GREAT news? I am very happy to inform you that wearing face masks did NOT hamper the fun and MAGIC of our Walt Disney World vacation AT ALL! In fact, my entire family was comfortable in wearing face masks within the first hour! AND...we visited Walt Disney World in one of the hottest months of the year!

INSIDER TIP: I would recommend bringing one or two extra face masks with you to the Disney Theme Parks. Your face mask will get sweaty and damp as you wear it throughout the day. Changing your face mask after lunch will give you that fresh, pick-me-up feeling to continue your INCREDIBLE day!

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help in any way!

Hope to SEE YOU REAL SOON!
